My father, Ali Atilla
Ozdiyar, was born in Istanbul, Turkey, on December 25, 1932. After
earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in two majors - Geological
Engineering and Chemistry, he went on to become a Lecturer in Geological Engineering at the University of Istanbul where he served
for 36 years and 9 months. Mr. Ozdiyar
retired in 1995 and currently resides with his wife in Istanbul, Turkey,
in their private residence.

My mother, Saynur
Ozdiyar, was born in Corum, Turkey, on April 27, 1947. After earning her
Bachelor of Science Degree in two majors - Geological Engineering and
Chemistry, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Philosophy in
Geochemistry, and later to become a Lecturer of Chemistry at the
University of Istanbul. Dr. Ozdiyar retired from the University of
Istanbul, where she served for 30 years
and 4 months, in 1999, and started lecturing at the Goldenhorn University
where she has been working for the last four years.
